Character
Description
In Castleton, Anri Claymore is introduced as the impetuous and vigilant second daughter of House Claymore of Arma, the lady and twin to the first born Soar Claymore. Her unrelenting mother, the Spymaster for Arma, and her father were largely absent for the duration of her life, leaving Soar and Anri to raise each other. She is a warlock to Scrios, the Demigod of Entropy, who is just as absent from her life as her father and mother.
Anri is content to remain far from courtly intrigues but is unwavering in her view of duty as a Lady of Arma. Finding herself a key player in the escalating feud between the Glaive and Gladius families, Anri struggled as her own sense of duty drew her into a match with a man she didn't know to protect her and her family from social ruin. As the story progresses, she began to see the importance of finding her sense of self and actualizing it to achieve her desires. She is ultimately forced to choose between her family's safety and her own happiness.
Standing at 5'7, Anri has porcelain blue skin, honey brown eyes, and short platinum white hair that resembles a pixie cut when worn up, but if let down is just as long as her twins. Being an identical twin, her features mirror that of her sister Soar, who's beauty is rumored by the common folk to be of the divine, but where Soar has leaned into the regalia of her position in life, lending her figure to be soft and gentle, Anri has not. She has mastered her body to the utmost of her ability giving her a chiseled and defined build all but devoid of the features high society deems befit of a lady of her stature. In public she is adorned with the colors of her house and her clothes seek to compliment her complexion while subduing the sturdiness of her form.

Background

Anri Claymore is the second daughter of the Lady Inquisitor, spymaster of the Catval, a group that answers to the royal family of Arma. Anri spent her childhood with her identical twin sister Soar learning the trade of the Claymore name to one day take a position as the right hand to the Baronetess of the house, the prospecting Dame, Soar Claymore. Years before the events of episode one, the young, quiet, and shy Anri spent her time, between lessons and martial training, sneaking out of the estate to spend time among those without titles to escape the pressures of her family name.
During one of these escapades, on the way home Anri was caught by a member of the Claymore Catval, posing as a guard, but before she could be returned to the Claymore estate to be admonished, Scrios the Demigod of Entropy, apparated in the form of Anri as a shadow. He murdered the Catvali in front of her eyes leaving her a necklace adorned with an upside-down bishop and a warlock pact she carried with her to the current day. Upon the day of the opening ceremony she welcomed her cousin, Amina Monsoon, to join the Claymore family as the twins debuted for their first matching season.
Castleton Part 1

The story begins with Anri and her sister Soar, twin daughters of Dame Claymore, sharing some banter with one another as they tentatively attempted to eat breakfast. Anri, the younger of the twins, is heavily concerned herself with her sisters wellbeing while trying to ease the tension building for their eventual departure. As preparations were being made Lady Amina and her mother, the twin to Dame Claymore, arrived at the Claymore estate after having moved back to reestablish themselves in the kingdom of Arma in the wake of her fathers death.
As both families make their way to the Castle via airship, the Claymore family established themselves casually with the Glaives, Troyllus, and his daughter Skylark, and with Anri's encouragement to try and win good will with others in attendance, Soar entertained the young girl with light music and magics where upon Anri notices that the child, Skylark, has a pawn that was identical to the bishop she was given by her Patron ten years ago, piquing her curiosity. Upon arriving at the Castle the twins' respectable entrance was overshadowed by Amina's entrance that quickly followed theirs. In an attempt to help bring more eyes back to her sister, Anri tried but ultimately failed in the use of magics to direct the tons attention back to Soar. However, rather than elevating her image to the ton, Anri attracted the ire of the ton to herself in the attempt to elevate her sister's public perception.
After some preparations and dichotomous apparel choices, the Claymore twins made a head turning entrance into the inaugural ball of the season, quickly splitting ways to chat with potential matches on the floor. Anri, arriving with the intention of seeking out the father of the child who shared a pact with her patron Scrios, locked eyes with Duke Troyllus Gladius, who was seemingly also looking for her. Anri, letting her curiosity get the better of her after seeing her sister dancing and conversing with Prince Elyan, and resigned from her duties she was given by her mother, making her way to Duke Gladius. They exchange small talk after some confusion about which twin he was talking to before chaos erupts on the floor.

Both Duke Troyllus and Anri were stranded on a platform together where after seeing the chaos unfold before them, both agree to help one another get out of the ballroom alive. In an attempt to find a safe haven from the battle around them, Anri smashed a piece of the floor tile with her fists, taking one chunk and tossing it up to the barrier above to test if they could get through. However, the tile went wide and hit the Demigod of Pride, Othena, entering her form of dread in anticipation of retaliation. As the platforms moved about the ballroom, Gilgamesh Von March III intervened and assaulted Troyllus, nearly killing him in the process. Anri seeing this retaliated and dealt as equal a blow to Gilgamesh, upon which in a moment of desperation Gilgamesh lets out a final spell in an attempt to finish off the Duke. Anri blocked the spell from hitting him as the tile under Gilgamesh gives way, leaving Anri cradling Troyllus' sobbing form.

Hell breaks loose in the ballroom as Anri and Troyllus make an oath to one another to protect each other to save their families. Should Anri return Troyllus to his daughter, he has sworn to protect both Anri and her family for the remaining season. Troyllus is then confronted by Gilgamesh Von March III and the three come to blows, as Anri envokes her patrons power, summoning a form of dread, resulting in Anri cradling a nearly dead Troyllus as Gilgamesh fell to his presumed demise.
Anri holding Troyllus in her arms as the two recover themselves, fulfilsl her promise to Troyllus as she shoulders him to return him to his daughter. At the same time, Millie, Benjamin, and Drestil reconnect and decide the best course of action is a show against the gods, to prove that they are not scared. Ben and Millie begin to dance with one another and start a show of unity across the 3 nations in defiance of the demigods opinions of the mortals. This gives Troy and Anri a chance to slip out unseen and as they rush to the Glaive estate, Anri informs Troyllus of the connection Skylark has to Scrios, demigod of entropy, and how she believes that Gilgamesh's actions were an attempt at getting access to Troyllus daughter, Troyllus then mentions that Gil specifically said "Kestrel", his own sisters name, and is unsure as to what it means. The two agree that the must see Skylark out of Kestrels care and race off to the estate.
They arrive an hour later, and Troyllus realizes that Gilgamesh's actions were likely at the behest of Kestrel, and that if he was to be removed from the picture, Skylark would be raised by his sister. Troyllus remembers the estates are registered to people and tells Anri to stay behind while he heads in alone, only to find Skylark, belongings packed, waiting for him. She ushers him out the door where Anri waits and for the two of them and as they meet Skylark comments on the appearance of Anri being similar to her mothers. The 3 then head for the Claymore estate and wait for Anris families return.
