The Duchess

One can often hear the Duchess approaching before spotting her, with the click of her well polished thigh-high boots and the brush of her red tailed hawk-like wings. On rare occasion, one may catch her in her riding leathers with racing goggles covering her pale lavender eyes with close cropped, short tousled red locks and riding crop by her side after racing Pegasi for sport. Generally, she can be found in ceremonial military garb with always a fabulous top hat and spectacles hiding a curious and bemused expression. Some may consider the Duchess to be a handsome woman as opposed to a beautiful one, but regardless of physical appearance she welcomes the spectacle of the Matching Season while also trying to maintain a diplomatic presence with the occasional sparkle of fun.
