Episode Five

Episode 5 Recap

A demigod made mortal, a Duke on death's door, an Armadeum with a weapon of the gods, and a defiant dance on marble floor. This was but a sample of the results of the Matching Seasons first Bloodied Ball. None were spared the brutality of its events, but a spark of hope did ignite as the nations came together for their dance against the powers that scorned them. After a time, the attendees dispersed to their homes to mourn and mull over what occurred, while some denied the very nature of the events of said night.

But even in the midst of the heightened tensions and emotions, the Unmatched must prepare, for date week arrives regardless of the conditions of one's heart. Many of the Unmatched sent letters to those they had met at the ball in an attempt to find normalcy or companionship, while others sought more insidious ends. With a myriad of places to chose from, such as boat rides, the gardens, and elysium, the Unmatched abscond in an attempt to unwind. But for others, love has no place in the days ahead as they navigated the tragedy of betrayal from those they thought family. Regardless, the next few days will chart the Unmatched to their fate.
