Character
Description
Azadreyl (Uh-zay-dree-el) Eros (they/them), aged 27 is 5 '10 " with an athletic build and long, wavy red and black hair. Their right eye is completely black and their left iris is golden. They have a golden birthmark and freckles splashed across their face. With curved horns, a devil's tail, and feathered wings, they stand out as a tiefling. Azadreyl tetters between presenting as masculine and feminine but always has one uncovered. Azadreyl tends to dress in hues of gold and red or black and green.
Azadreyl's official title is Liege of House Eros. They typically have a playful demeanor, some describing them as goofy. Azadreyl has never been in a true relationship before (it's always been set up by their parents, Desire and Austere for political moves. Even those relationships didn’t last long due to their faux nature.) Azadreyl is woefully unprepared for someone to sweep them off their feet.
Storylines
Background
They were raised to study the lore of love in the land and have always excelled at it. Their family recently relocated from Cerul to Eldron. Azadreyl had a tough time growing up in a patriarchal society so they cherished the opportunity to live more freely in the ways they so choose.
Azadreyl loves a good book and taking a situation by surprise. They are participating in the matching season for the first time this year, unbeknownst to their parents, Azadreyl is rebelling against the matching season to accomplish [redacted.]
Castleton Part 1
In anticipation of the Matching Season, Azaedreyl had been staying at House Bookbury where they became friendly with Ardamir. A small group traveled via Solar Circle to the Castle, Azadreyl’s thought in the circle, “I am looking forward to the end of this.” After arriving at the Castle, Azadreyl missed most of the massacre at the ball while they stayed in their room and around the castle doing [redacted.]. As they approached the ball, the deaths surprised them and led them to the Lemon’ Priest’s temple where they found solace and potential allies.
With Declaration Week looming over their head, Azadreyl invited Revel on a stroll through the gardens as they both grew up in Cerul and Azadreyl knew Revel to be a tender heart. While waiting for Revel, Azadreyl was invited into a pocket dimension to chat with Otter who revealed he too is part of the rebellion and that Azadreyl might need to get their hands dirty and recruit more members to ensure the group succeeds with its goals. The date was...awkward but Azadreyl met Auréa who also revealed herself to be part of the rebellion.
Castleton Part 2
Azadreyl asked Ardamir if he would like to go on a practice date as neither of the two had much experience. They kicked Aradmir out of the suite for a few minutes to prepare a coffee shop date. After ushering Ardamir back into the room, they shared a cute date with laughs and note-taking, and Ardamir revealed he was a practiced mimic. Azadreyl warned him not to use his new powers for evil. Shortly after, Azadreyl returned to the Lemon Priest and requested a meeting location, hidden from the general public. Lugh showed them to the crypt where that night Azadreyl met with Mr. Brezza. Azadreyl spoke of the importance of found family and invited Brezza to join the rebellion, to live in a world where equity is king. Azadreyl let him know he didn’t have to decide right away but he did need to decide soon. As Brezza exited the crypt, we found the Lemon Priest listening in. After a brief exchange, Lugh said he was in, and Azadreyl initiated the trio's second group hug. Brezza joined the rebellion moments later.
Azadreyl found *the play* to be in poor taste which they mentioned on the date with Gwen, a picnic by the river with an archery set. They talked about how the mortals aren’t playthings for the gods, how their moms wanted them to find love, and making their own choices. Azadreyl showed heart eyes when Gwen showed off her sword. The pair agreed to an additional date after the Cloud Ball, ice skating, Gwen’s choice.
The first official rebellion meeting with [redacted] members happened at the Stone Tree in the crypt. The tree spoke after Brezza accidentally kicked it, “The violence decree must be broken before we can strike the heart.” Brezza offered himself to essentially be killed by his wife to which Azadreyl let him know he is needed alive. The group talked about inciting violence before and during the matching trials either through letters, threats, or otherwise.
At the Cloud Ball, Azadreyl and Ardamir had a goofy chat about how they weren’t enjoying peopling. Azadreyl was dressed more femme than usual in a long sleeve, mesh black dress with a slit from the floor to the top of their leg and a deep v on their chest with peeks of tattoos. Their hair was beautifully braided with flowers throughout. As Gwen walked by, Azadreyl used the message cantrip to whisper, “You look beautiful tonight,” in their ear.
