Character
Description
Brezza, is known to be a bumbling, sheepish individual who is obedient to a fault. Raised mostly by his mother, Lady Estella, Brezza kept close to her side; following every word and command from his mother to stay in her favor. Brezza fancies himself a tinkerer, creating a companion, his “Pocket-Frog” Archibald who commonly rests in his breast pocket. When the time was right, Brezza begrudgingly went through a matching season to find his now partner, Kestrel Gladius.
Tall and wiry, Brezza stands 6’2” with an awkward lanky frame. Light blue skin with darker freckles, indicating his Air Genasi heritage with a hint of Fire from his mother’s side. His gray blue hair is flowing and commonly pushed back behind his ears and a pince-nez with gold frames rests upon his nose. His green eyes and the soft smile resting upon his face hint at a kinder nature. He is most commonly seen sporting a waistcoat with some hints to his mechanical fascination often featuring the colors of House, dark black and rich purple.
Storylines
Background

Brezza is the only child to House Glaive, his mother Lady Estella raised him mostly; after the untimely passing of his father, Zefiro. As Brezza grew he found joy in tinkering and researching the historical machinery of Arma. He would spend days upon days hunched over a table tinkering with all sorts of items to make them new, or in his eyes “better”. He would eventually enroll to become an Artificer and receive proper accreditation from the colleges to practice as one. His hopes of enrolling as an engineer for Arma to work on their illustrious airships was halted as his mother strongly suggested he participate in the matching season.
Brezza found a match in Kestrel Gladius, he quickly fell head over heels for her and became hopelessly devoted to her. With the joining of the families he soon met his brother-in-law Troyllus and his wife, while he tried, Brezza could not make it past the wall that is Troyllus, until Skylark was born. Not having children of his own Brezza felt a kinship with the “Little Lark” creating little toys for her and vowing to teach her the ins and out of mechanical mysteries. From there Brezza believed that he and Troyllus has a common ground. After the passing of Troyllus’ wife, he found it hard once again to reach out to his brother-in-law. The only tether keeping together was the joy that is Skylark.
Castleton Part 1
Brezza is introduced as his family is preparing to depart for the upcoming matching season. The entire Glaive estate is there in support of Troyllus re-joining the matching season after the passing of his wife. Brezza quickly presents as a passionate, yet nervous individual speaking of his fascination in the Armean airships and his Pocket-Frog, Archibald. Brezza speaks to his niece, Skylark, on how she too can learn how to make something like Archibald if she studies hard. This conversation comes to a grinding halt when Troyllus enters the carriage, Brezza’s nerves reduce him to a nervous wreck and sits the rest of the ride in silence as the approach the airships for the start of this year's matching season.
We catch up with Brezza after the incident at The Opening Ball, he is awoken by a hushed discussion happening downstairs. His wife, Kestrel and his mother Estella are quiet in discussion about a plot to take Skylark and have Troyllus removed, permanently. After a moment, a third voice enters the conversation, gruff and rough sounding. Kestrel affectionately speaks to the mysterious voice and then takes care of him who is later revealed to be Gilgamesh Von March III, the secret lover of his wife. In a panic, Brezza runs to Skylark’s room in hopes of finding here. All that is found is a note on the bed. The note’s instructions: Run. Brezza escapes the second floor through the window in Skylark’s room and makes a break for the gates only to be stopped by Kestrel. Brezza, heartbroken, begins to ask how Kestrel could do something like this to him but is stopped after he becomes aware of an attempt to alter his thought by his mother. He hears “Go back inside the house.” in his mother’s voice within his mind. Just then, it all became clear, his mother kept him in line by “persuading” him to do otherwise via arcane means. In the midst of attempting to process this all Gilgamesh makes an attempt to restrain him. Breaking free, Brezza uses his mechanical tools to push Kestrel out of the way and run for his life, claiming that they “all deserve each other.” In a flurry of anger Estella hurls a firebolt at Brezza’s back and he runs off into the night.
The wounds fresh and assuming the hunt is on, Brezza finds a church to seek revenge. Falling to his needs, his back singing with pain and a burn along the side of his face, he pleads for help. His call is answered by Lugh Le’Mon’k who grants him sanctuary. In the morning Brezza is awoken by a conversation in the church, Brezza is introduced to Azadreyl, a captivating individual. They and Lugh over comfort and remind Brezza that found family is just as valid and important as the family you were born into. Feeling welcomed and cared for, in what felt like forever, Brezza extends his hand in thanks only to be embraced in a group hug. Later that evening, Brezza receives a note inviting him to tea, curious he accepts the invitation and meets at the tea house where he and Kestrel were engaged the next morning. To his surprise, and somewhat fear, he sees Troyllus and Skylark waiting for him. The two engage in a discussion, both accusing the other for trying to get them killed. Although, it becomes clear that both of them have been targets in this plot. They both agree that Skylark must be kept safe - their discussion is halted by the appearance of Keen Melody congratulating Brezza on his pregnancy. Confused, Brezza asks for clarification to which Keen mentions an announcement. Quickly Brezza grabs a copy of The Ton Talk to see an announcement about yesterday’s altercation outside the Glaive estate stating that Gilgamesh just happened to be there to save the day and that Lady Kestrel is pregnant. Shocked and upset, Brezza states that the child is not his, if there even is a child. He must respond back but he is unsure, Keen Melody has an idea on how to get the word out. A plan is hatched to reveal that Gilgamesh and Kestrel are lovers, Brezza was attacked and is now recovering from his wounds. Troyllus suggests for the time being, Brezza stay at the Gladius estate to ensure his safety.
